End of March and useful things coming from me (to you)
New readers and old, I hope this spring season you can make use of the ideas and tools we will be simply and easily integrating into our strange and precious lives.
On TikTok, we sample quickly social stories of impact. On my new podcast The Process, we dig into them a little more with richer context. Here, we send out on occasion links, helpful resources, or longer-form written content.
The rest of this month we are going to look at HOW we create moments and habits of rest and play in a world that depends on our disconnection to ourselves. I introduced the idea of firing yourself from Magical Negro Duty but how does one do this? The work of Catherine Price, Tricia Hersey, and Tabitha Caravan has some good jumping-off points for us.
Look out soon as well for content on all platforms of one of the most misunderstood and silent secrets of our American society: Class. Rendered invisible and entirely reworked to provide two dueling American origin stories, we can unravel the “mystery” at the heart of so many present conflicts between each other. We also find the still beating heart of motivation for continued racial animus within it.
